Sakura means “cherry blossom” in Japanese. In the course of time, Sakura was adopted by the Samurai warriors as a symbol of belonging to their class. In their classic iconography, the cherry blossom represented the beauty and fragility of life. In blooming period sakura trees transform into an enchanting spectacle of shapes and colours, but their delicate beauty can only be enjoyed for a fleeting moment of time. The life of cherry blossom is very short and when the flower falls to the ground and dies, its beauty dies with it.
